THE GOAT STUFF
The name intelligent goat comes from the parallels that can be drawn from the unique behaviours of a goat and those of the way we support our clients. Goats are highly nimble and are especially good at adapting to new landscapes having an intensely inquisitive and intelligent nature.
As a result of their 320 degree vision, they are able to spot things from a very broad angle, allowing them to explore new or unfamiliar elements that may appear. They are largely independent, agile animals, often underestimated, and are widely known for their ability to hold their balance in the most precarious of places.
It is the mix of these unusual qualities that intelligent goat seeks to bring to your business. The approach we take is straight forward and honest, only working with you when we are confident we can make a real difference to your success.
AN INTELLIGENT GOAT
Paul Viner founded intelligent goat building on the success of more than twenty years as Finance Director in a broad spectrum of sectors ranging from leisure and hospitality to property and healthcare, where he has successfully managed and sold a number of notable businesses, including leading the sale of Giraffe Concepts to Tesco in 2013 and taking Mayfair Gaming from an MBI to an MBO.

Paul now sits on the Boards of numerous businesses and has worked closely with many Private Equity Houses including 3i, BGF and Risk Capital Partners. Paul’s specialities include change management, turnaround, working in roll out/exponential growth environments, acquisitions and developing leadership teams.
Paul is a well established speaker on topics such as Financial Leadership, working with entrepreneurs, and on what it takes to work in and successfully exit Private Equity backed businesses.
